Quality and standards are key factors in recycled plastics and packaging. Because the materials and packaging from recycled plastics with good qualities in both performance and safety suitable for applications will strengthen Thailand economy related to supply chain of plastics, in order to support the country’s sustainable growth through a circular economy and increase international trade competitiveness. 

Therefore, to promote the country’s quality infrastructure, National Quality Infrastructure (NQI) targets to develop important standards for materials and packaging from recycled plastics, as well as quality systems to support standardized testing services.  Therefore, this seminar and brainstorming meeting on “National Quality Infrastructure (NQI) on Materials and Packaging Made from Recycled Plastics” will be held under collaboration between 3 organizations: the Department of Science Service, Kasetsart University, and the Institute of Science and Technology Research of Thailand. 

The target groups for this online event are those involved and stakeholders from both public and private sectors such as plastic pellet manufacturers, plastic packaging converters, operators who collects plastics after use, recycled plastic manufacturer, entrepreneurs producing consumer products in plastic and recycled plastic packaging, testing laboratories from government and private sectors, and government agencies involved in supervision of plastics and plastic packaging quality and standards.
